Procedure
- Use 2 x cushions and guide your dog up
- Lift the left rear leg whilst standing on their right side and hold (up to 10 seconds if they allow you)
- Repeat, treat as needed
- Swap sides so you stand on the left and lift the right leg
Special Note:
- Make sure the cushions don't slip
- Hold their hock with their paw facing forward, don't rotate the leg
- If they are resisting and want to put their leg down it can mean that they are fatiguing or it is getting sore. Allow a rest as needed.
- As you practice you should see that they can sustain the rear leg lift longer and in better form.
