Benefits:
- increases strength
- increases core strength
Procedure:
- Guide your dog up with a treat
- Ask them to shake and hold that position for as long as possible (10 seconds if possible)
- Guide them back off the cushions
Notes:
- If they let go that's ok to put their paws down, it means they just needed a quick rest. As you practice you should notice that they can hold it for longer and longer.
- Make sure the cushions don't slip against eachother
- This is a progression to two up on a cushion with a shake. By adding another cushion we are adding more instability to make the muscles work harder to stabilise themselves.
- The firmness of the cushions will determine how difficult it is for your dog to maintain their stability.
