High two up, rear cushion, rear leg lift hold


Benefits

  • Improves balance, proprioception and leg strength

Procedure

  • Use a higher step than normal, add books underneath (if stable) or use a chair
  • Place a cushion on the floor
  • Guide your dog to do a two up so front paws are up and rear paws are on the balance cushion
  • Lift the left rear leg whilst standing on their right side
  • Hold for 3-10 seconds (as per program)
  • Treat as needed

Special Note:

  • Be sure to keep the knee and paw facing forward (do not rotate)
